Why choose a SmugMutts toy?

• 100% natural and plastic free.
• Hemp rope sheds in short length fibres which are digestible in small amounts and less likely to cause harm when chewed and ingested, unlike cotton and other synthetic rope toys.
• The tough hemp fibres can act as a natural tooth brush when chewed and help to massage dog's gums.
• Naturally anti-microbial and resistant to mould.
• Strong, durable and biodegradeable.
• Naturally untreated Beech wood is a splinterless hardwood and a fantastic eco-friendly alternative to plastic.

SmugMutts are onto an incredible thing! From rapidly absorbing CO2 from atmosphere to returning up to 70% of its nutrients back to the soil, Hemp is one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly crops to grow. In comparison to cotton, Hemp requires significantly less land and less water to grow and grows without the use of herbicides, pesticides or chemicals.

The beech used is responsibly sourced inside the EU. Beech is a non-toxic, smooth hardwood with a close grain structure meaning it is much less likely to splinter when chewed.

In short, SmugMutts are producing innovative, environmentally friendly products that your pups will love!
